The Elias Adin’s Comforting Hearts Inc. is a 501(c) (a) non-profit organization started in November 2011 after the Pallitta Family lost a child to cancer in 2008. Elias was only 7 months old when he passed away hours after being diagnosed with a brain tumor and through their tragedy they wanted to bring comfort to families with children diagnosed with cancer.
Our mission is to comfort children and their families that are battling cancer. We give care packages to families in the pediatric oncology units in NW Ohio and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio. We also ship care packages all across the US, these care packages provide fun activities for the children to do while in the hospital and so much more. Our goal is to make these families lives a little easier as they are thrown into this devastating time by providing gas cards, restaurant gift cards and even sending patients on their dream trips.
Through our charity we want to bring awareness to childhood cancer and build a community for these families to feel welcome in and to be able to talk and share with one another. We also provide information to help families with the everyday struggles of having a child diagnosed with cancer and even provide help for after their child is out of treatment. Through all of the our wonderful sponsors and donors we hope to be able to bring comfort to these families and so much more.
